Christopher York, a resident of Americus, Georgia, tragically lost his life on December 21, 2022, following a shooting incident. The 35-year-old male was shot at approximately 11:30 p.m. at 145 Dogwood Drive in Americus. He was subsequently transported to Phoebe Sumter Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office were promptly involved in the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
