David Henry Strzalkowski, a 34-year-old white male police officer, tragically lost his life on November 28, 1988, in Miami, Florida. Officer Strzalkowski, along with his partner Officer Richard Boles, responded to a call at a trailer park located at Northeast 200th Street and West Dixie Highway. The call, however, was a setup orchestrated by Charlie Street, a paroled felon. Upon their arrival, both officers were ambushed and fatally shot by Street.
