In the spring of 2014, the Cherry Hill neighborhood of Baltimore was rocked by the tragic death of 14-year-old Najee Thomas. On the night of April 22nd, Najee was at his home on Roundview Road when he was fatally shot in the head. His mother, Amina Gillian, had left him watching television to visit a friend. When she returned about an hour later, she found her son deceased.
