Davion D. Smith, a 14-year-old African American boy from Lakeland, FL, tragically lost his life on August 6, 2014. He was shot multiple times during a gun battle and succumbed to his injuries at Lakeland Regional Medical Center later that evening. The incident occurred around 8:25 p.m., and despite efforts to save him, Davion could not be revived.
