Yassine El Hamzaoui, a 23-year-old Moroccan man, was tragically killed on July 15, 2017, outside his family's home in Poinciana, Kissimmee, Florida. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of gunshots on South Flag Court and found Yassine with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
The incident occurred around 11 PM, south of the Dunkin’ Donuts on Cypress Parkway.
The investigation into Yassine El Hamzaoui's death led to the arrest of three suspects: Terrance White, 17; Marcus Delucien, 19; and Raekwon Richardson, 20. All three were charged with second-degree murder. The suspects were apprehended approximately 400 miles away in South Carolina while on vacation. Terrance White was arrested first, followed by Marcus Delucien the next day, and Raekwon Richardson shortly after.
Authorities have not disclosed whether Yassine El Hamzaoui knew his assailants or the motive behind the shooting. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office ruled out the possibility of a hate crime and offered a reward for information leading to the identification of the perpetrator. The case highlights the tragic loss of a young life and the ongoing efforts to bring justice to Yassine El Hamzaoui and his family.
