Roosevelt Dixon, a 74-year-old African American man, was found dead alongside his wife, Janette Dixon, in their home on Meadow Oaks Circle in Kissimmee, Florida, on July 14, 2018. The couple had been shot in the head, and their bodies were discovered after they had been deceased for some time. The investigation revealed that the couple had just sat down to eat breakfast when they were killed. There was no sign of forced entry, and the server for their surveillance system had been removed.
