On February 26, 2021, TyReece Thomas, a 20-year-old resident of Kosciusko, Mississippi, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred around 6:20 p.m. on Peachtree Street near West North Street. Emergency services responded promptly, and Thomas was transported to Baptist Medical Center – Attala, where he was subsequently airlifted for further medical treatment. Despite these efforts, Thomas succumbed to his injuries.
