In the early evening of February 5, 2024, the quiet of a neighborhood in Kosciusko, Mississippi, was shattered by gunfire. Inside a residence on South East Street, a violent encounter left two teenagers dead. One of the deceased was 18-year-old Victor Nolden. When Kosciusko Police arrived at the home around 7:21 p.m., they found Nolden already deceased from a gunshot wound.
The other individual involved was 15-year-old Christne Tolliver. Tolliver was transported to Baptist Attala hospital but was pronounced dead by the Attala County Coroner. Initial investigations by the Kosciusko Police Department suggested that the two teenagers shot each other inside the house. Law enforcement confirmed that it was not a drive-by shooting.
Born on May 13, 2005, Victor Keshon Nolden was employed at Tyson Foods in Carthage at the time of his death and had aspirations of becoming a truck driver or working offshore. The motive for the fatal shooting remains unknown as the investigation continues. No arrests have been made as the current information points to a double homicide involving the two deceased individuals.
