On a summer evening in the small community of Tchula, Mississippi, the life of 18-year-old Justin Thompson was tragically cut short. On June 2, 2024, Thompson was the victim of a fatal drive-by shooting in the Gwen community. The incident was one of two separate, fatal drive-by shootings that occurred in Holmes County on the same night, unsettling the rural area.
