On a tragic Saturday afternoon in Kissimmee, Florida, James John Puchan, a 69-year-old man, was shot and killed on January 17, 2026. He and two friends, brothers Douglas Joseph Kraft, 68, and Robert Louis Kraft, 70, were visiting the area as tourists and were staying at a rental property. The group had attended the Mecum Car Show and were preparing to travel home when they experienced trouble with their rental car.
While waiting for assistance outside their Airbnb, the three men were senselessly murdered in what authorities have described as a "cold-blooded" and random act of violence. The incident occurred in the Indian Point subdivision, a neighborhood just a few miles from Disney World.
Multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired in the neighborhood began to come in around 12:13 p.m. When Osceola County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene on Indian Point Circle, they discovered the bodies of the three men outside the rental home. Witnesses reported seeing a man flee the scene and enter a neighboring house. Law enforcement quickly established a perimeter and, within an hour, had apprehended a suspect at the adjacent residence. Two firearms were later recovered from the suspect's home.
The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Ahmad Jihad Bojeh. He was arrested and has been charged with three counts of premeditated murder. Authorities have stated that there was no known conflict or interaction between the victims and Bojeh prior to the shooting. The Osceola County Sheriff described the attack as "horrific and senseless" and stated that Bojeh was well-known to local law enforcement, calling him a "frequent flyer" and a "threat to the neighborhood."
Court records indicate that Bojeh has a history of run-ins with the law, including a prior arrest for attempted murder in 2021, for which he was found not guilty by reason of insanity. He has been booked into the Osceola County Jail and is being held without bond. The families of the victims released a joint statement expressing their "unexpected, unimaginable loss" and describing the men as beloved husbands, fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, and friends.
