Marvin Jr. Coston, aged 28, was shot and killed on July 12, 2015, in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred during a period of escalating violence in the city, which had been struggling with rising homicide rates. Coston was shot multiple times while in the vicinity of the 1200 block of East Lanvale Street. His death was part of a tragic wave of violence that saw over 340 homicides in Baltimore by the end of 2015, making it one of the deadliest years on record for the city.
