Jonathan Rivera, a 28-year-old father of three, was tragically shot to death on May 9, 2018, in Jacksonville, Florida. Rivera, who was of Hispanic descent, was found inside his vehicle outside his sister's home in the Duclay neighborhood. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m. after receiving reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers discovered Rivera with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
