JoColby Malcolm Cummings, a 22-year-old African American male from Jacksonville, Florida, tragically lost his life on September 5, 2018. He was found shot to death at the Morningside Apartments on Jammes Road. The incident occurred during a drug deal in front of his apartment. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and discovered Cummings with fatal gunshot wounds. The investigation revealed that the shooting was a result of a drug-related altercation.
