Christopher Michael Blessett, a 25-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on March 26, 2018, in Jacksonville, Florida. On that fateful evening, officers responded to a call around 7:45 p.m. and found Blessett lying in the roadway on Mohawk Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries two days later. The incident occurred near a Westside apartment complex, adding to the community's shock and grief.
