On the cold morning of Friday, February 26, 2016, tragedy struck in the Milton-Montford neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland, claiming the life of 30-year-old James Thompson, a Black / African American male. The fatal incident unfolded at approximately 12:15 a.m. in the 2500 block of East Eager Street, a residential area that would become the scene of a somber investigation.
