In the summer of 2020, a violent encounter on a Baltimore street set in motion a chain of events that would ultimately end in tragedy. On the evening of August 20, 34-year-old Angelo Parker Jr., a Black male, was in the 3400 block of Violetville Lane when he was shot. First responders found Parker at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds and transported him for medical care.
For nearly a year and a half, Parker fought to recover from the grievous injuries he sustained in the shooting.
However, despite the efforts of medical professionals and his own struggle to survive, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. On January 20, 2022, Angelo Parker Jr. passed away, his death a direct result of the violence that had occurred eighteen months prior. Following his death, the Baltimore Police Department officially classified his case as a homicide.
The investigation into the murder of Angelo Parker Jr. has been ongoing since the day of the shooting. Detectives with the Baltimore Police Department have been working to piece together the circumstances that led to the fatal attack and to identify the person or persons responsible. To date, however, there have been no arrests made in connection with his death, and no suspects have been publicly identified. The case remains open, and the family of Angelo Parker Jr., along with the community, awaits justice.
