Larese Annette Bowser, 42, a Black woman from Baltimore, Maryland, was killed in the first minutes of June 3, 2016, when what police described as a home invasion spiraled into a chase and a fatal gunshot on the city’s southwest side. Officers were dispatched around 12:25 a.m. to the 900 block of Allendale Avenue after reports of a home invasion, and they arrived to find Bowser outside a residence, wounded in the neck.
