In the summer of 2016, a spate of violence troubled the city of Baltimore, and among the lives tragically cut short was that of Tyrone Randolph Cooper Jr. A 34-year-old Black male, Cooper was found suffering from gunshot wounds on the 2500 block of West Fayette Street on the evening of August 3, 2016. Despite the immediate response from authorities, his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
