Holland's death led them to release chilling surveillance footage to the public. The video captured two masked individuals, clad in black and wearing distinctive yellow gloves, as they exited a vehicle and opened fire on Holland. After the brazen attack, the gunmen hastily retreated to their vehicle and fled the scene with a getaway driver.
In the wake of the shooting, law enforcement has appealed to the community for assistance in identifying the suspects. As of early October 2025, authorities had not made any arrests in connection with the murder of Virgil Holland, and the investigation remains ongoing.
