Virgil Holland, 31, a Black male, was shot in broad daylight on September 26, 2025, in the 1200 block of West North Avenue in West Baltimore, just off Druid Hill Avenue. Police were called at approximately 4:16 p.m. and found the 31-year-old with an apparent gunshot wound to the head; he was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. The shooting unfolded on a busy corridor, drawing Western District detectives who took over the case that afternoon.
