On January 24, 2023, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 1700 block of Lamont Avenue in East Baltimore. Upon arrival, they discovered 18-year-old Marquis Edward Stuckey suffering from gunshot wounds. Stuckey was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
