In the evening chill of January 24, 2023, the life of 18-year-old Marquis Edward Stuckey, a Black male, was tragically cut short on the streets of East Baltimore. At approximately 6:15 p.m., the sharp report of gunfire prompted a ShotSpotter alert in the 1700 block of Lamont Avenue, drawing officers from the Baltimore Police Department to the scene. There they found the young man suffering from gunshot wounds.
