Jimmie Hugh Rutledge, a 50-year-old sergeant with the Berkeley Police Department, tragically lost his life on June 16, 1973, in Berkeley, California. Rutledge, a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War, had served with the Berkeley Police Department for 23 years.
