Chauncey Wendell Bailey Jr., a prominent journalist and editor-in-chief of the Oakland Post, was tragically murdered on August 2, 2007, in Oakland, California. Bailey, who was 57 years old at the time of his death, was known for his investigative reporting on issues affecting the African-American community.
