Derrick Jones, a 37-year-old barber from East Oakland, California, was tragically shot and killed by officers of the Oakland Police Department on November 8, 2010. Jones, who owned the Kwik Cuts Barbershop, was well-known in his community. On the night of his death, police responded to a call regarding a domestic dispute between Jones and a woman at a nearby laundromat.
