On March 24, 2015, Allen Lewis, a 49-year-old man from Oakland, California, was tragically shot and killed. His body was discovered early in the morning in the East Lake district of Oakland, specifically on the 300 block of East 17th Street. Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene when police arrived, and investigators were initially uncertain about his purpose for being in that particular area, as he did not reside nearby.
