Thomas Miles Ingram, a 43-year-old man from Los Angeles, California, was tragically shot and killed on March 28, 2014. The incident occurred in an alley near West Florence Avenue and Cimarron Street in Chesterfield Square. According to reports, around 9:20 p.m., Dorian George Hernandez, 42, drove a light-colored SUV into the alley to pick up Ingram. After Ingram got into the vehicle, a group of about three to five people stood around the car before walking away.
Shortly after, an individual approached the driver's side of the SUV and fired more than ten shots at Hernandez and Ingram. The shooter then fled the scene on foot. Both Ingram and Hernandez were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) launched an investigation into the double homicide. The Criminal Gang Homicide Division was tasked with the case, given the nature of the crime and the area in which it occurred. Despite efforts to gather information and leads, the case remains unsolved. The LAPD has urged anyone with information to come forward, offering anonymity through Crime Stoppers.
