Dominique Jamar Parks, a 29-year-old resident of Oakland, California, tragically lost his life on October 12, 2014. The incident occurred near 73rd Avenue and International Boulevard in East Oakland. Parks was shot around 8 a.m. and was subsequently taken to a hospital where he underwent multiple surgeries. Despite the medical efforts, he succumbed to complications from his gunshot wounds on October 23, 2014, after having both of his legs amputated.
