On January 23, 2016, Alfonso Barbosa, a 31-year-old resident of Reedley, California, was found dead alongside Fray Martin Rodriguez, 29, in a parked vehicle near the intersection of E. Dinuba and Crawford Avenues, east of Reedley. The Fresno County Sheriff's Office received a call about a suspicious vehicle, a dark-colored Chevrolet Malibu, parked awkwardly on the side of the road with its headlights and engine still running.
