On January 6, 2024, 61-year-old Darrell Ray Bonds was found deceased at his residence in Reedley, California, alongside his father, 81-year-old Billy Bonds, and his sister-in-law, 44-year-old Guadalupe "Kiki" Chavez Bonds. The initial discovery occurred when Reedley police responded to a reported burglary at the Bonds' home on South Church Avenue.
