Virgil Quincy Lee Kennerly, a 34-year-old resident of Compton, California, tragically lost his life on February 22, 2016. The incident occurred in the 1700 block of East Alondra Boulevard, where Kennerly was found unresponsive and bleeding from a gunshot wound. Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene around 9:52 p.m. after residents reported hearing gunshots outside a two-story apartment unit. Despite their efforts, Kennerly was pronounced dead at the scene at 10 p.m.
