James Burton, a 27-year-old man from Compton, California, was tragically shot and killed on September 7, 2015. The incident occurred in the 200 block of West Palm Street, near the Compton Fire Department, Station One. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Burton was riding his bicycle around 7:27 p.m. when he was approached by at least two suspects who opened fire.
