In the spring of 1988, a grim discovery shattered the quiet of a Lewiston, Maine apartment building. Donald E. Dunlap, a male resident, was found deceased in his home on May 6th. The alarm was raised not by a sudden commotion, but by a persistent and unsettling odor that concerned his neighbors enough to alert the building's management.
