Giovanni Hernandez, a 36-year-old resident of San Francisco, was tragically killed on October 1, 2016. Hernandez was shot multiple times in the Visitacion Valley neighborhood, specifically in the first block of Burr Avenue, around 4 p.m. He was quickly transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. This incident was part of a particularly violent weekend in San Francisco, during which five people were killed over the span of three days.
