Laurice Barrett, a 39-year-old resident of South San Francisco, was tragically killed on December 29, 2016. The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. in the 200 block of Golden Gate Avenue, near the Civic Center. Barrett was shot along with another man, who survived the attack. Barrett was transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The shooting took place near the front entrance of the Service Employees International Union, adding to the shock and concern within the community. ...Read More
