John Bambic, an 84-year-old resident of San Francisco, California, was tragically shot and killed on January 28, 1974. The incident occurred at the intersection of Ninth and Howard Streets. Witnesses later identified the assailant as J.C. Simon, who fled the scene and was picked up by a waiting Cadillac with two other men inside. This murder was part of a series of racially motivated attacks known as the "Zebra murders," which targeted white individuals in San Francisco during the early 1970s.
