On October 30, 2024, at approximately 6:11 p.m., San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) officers responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Ellis and Jones Streets in the Tenderloin neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 64-year-old William Edward Clark lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Clark was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
