Reggina Jefferies, aged 17, was tragically killed on June 14, 2016, while attending a vigil in downtown Oakland for two friends who had drowned over Memorial Day weekend. Jefferies, who was a talented dancer and about to start her senior year at high school, had just performed a praise dance at the memorial service earlier that day.
