On April 16, 2019, Roland Van Johnson, a 26-year-old resident of Arvin, California, was tragically killed in a shooting incident. The Arvin Police Department responded to multiple calls reporting gunfire at the Summerview Apartments on Meyer Street around 10:52 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Johnson unresponsive on the ground, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso.
