On the night of September 5, 2021, Sergio Botello, a 41-year-old resident of Arvin, California, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred just before 10:15 p.m. on Nora Way, near Tejon Highway. A sergeant on patrol in the area heard multiple gunshots and was subsequently flagged down by a woman who claimed that a relative had been shot.
