In the late hours of a Thursday night in eastern New Orleans, a discovery was made that would end in tragedy. On September 13, 2012, police found 40-year-old Devalon Reed, a male, lying amidst a pile of debris in the 8900 block of Middleboro Road. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency services responded to the scene at approximately 11:48 p.m. Reed was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his critical injuries. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, his condit ...
