In the spring of 2010, the life of 25-year-old Quelton Broussard Jr., a Black male from New Orleans, Louisiana, was tragically cut short. On the evening of April 12, 2010, Broussard was ambushed in a hail of gunfire. At least 48 shots were fired into his vehicle from three different firearms: a. 223 caliber semi-automatic rifle, a 7.62 caliber semi-automatic rifle, and a. 40 caliber semi-automatic handgun.
