Travis Nathaniel Thomas, a 25-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in New Orleans, Louisiana, on May 6, 2013. The incident occurred shortly before 3 a.m. on the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near the Metairie Road exit. Thomas was a passenger in a silver Nissan Maxima when he and the 23-year-old driver were both shot inside the vehicle.
