A 28 year old father of two is found murdered in his New Orleans, LA home
In the late summer of 2011, the life of Dwayne Atkins, a 28-year-old Black man, was violently cut short in his New Orleans home. On August 20th, Atkins was found deceased, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The news sent a shockwave through his family and community, leaving them to grapple with the sudden and brutal loss of a man they say was actively trying to better his life.
