In the heart of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a community mourned the loss of Reverend Eddie Lee, a man of 87 years, who passed away on November 19, 2022. Remembered as a giving, free-hearted, and diligent man, his absence was deeply felt by those who knew and loved him, most notably his cherished wife, Ora Dean Lee.
Reverend Lee's life was a testament to his loving nature, not only as a spiritual guide but as a devoted family man.
He was the beloved husband of Ora Dean Lee and a dear father to his children: Oliver Milton Lee, Wanda Lee, Jacqueline Lee-Conley, Sharon Ann Lee, Ralph Edwin Lee, and Frederick Jarod Lee. His legacy continued through his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. He was preceded in death by his son, Oliver Milton Lee, just a year prior.
A visitation for friends and family to pay their respects was held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Hall's Celebration Center on Scenic Highway in Baton Rouge. This was followed by a religious service to honor his life and ministry. Reverend Eddie Lee was laid to rest at Southern Memorial Gardens on Blount Road, leaving behind a legacy of faith and kindness that touched the lives of many in the Baton Rouge community.
