Rudy Fimbres, a 32-year-old man from Chula Vista, California, tragically lost his life on August 21, 2022. Fimbres was dropped off at Scripps Mercy Hospital in Chula Vista around 1:55 a.m. with a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of the hospital staff, he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. Fimbres was known to be transient, living between Chula Vista and San Diego. The circumstances surrounding his death have led to an ongoing investigation by the Chula Vista Police Department.
