David Bruley, aged 42, tragically lost his life on August 30, 2022, in Chula Vista, California. The incident occurred near Valle Lindo Park, where Bruley and his 22-year-old stepson, Joseph Arias, were shot multiple times. The two men attempted to flee the scene in their pickup truck but crashed on Brandywine Avenue. Both were found unconscious in the vehicle and later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
