Michael Mandelino, aged 37, died on March 19, 1978, in Brooklyn, New York. His death was a result of multiple gunshot wounds to the head, inflicted by members of the notorious DeMeo crew, a faction of the Gambino crime family. Mandelino was suspected of setting up Peter LaFroscia for a robbery, which led to his execution by the crew. Alongside Mandelino, Nino Martini, aged 38, was also killed, although Martini had no involvement in the robbery.
