Police Officer Robert J. Bilodeau, aged 33, tragically lost his life on February 12, 1980, in New York, NY. Officer Bilodeau was on patrol with his partner when they observed a group of men acting suspiciously. Noticing one of the men adjusting what appeared to be a gun in his waistband, the officers decided to investigate. As they exited their unmarked car, the suspect fled on foot down an alleyway.
