On December 4, 1981, Joseph Viggiano, aged 24, was murdered in Manhattan, New York. The incident occurred in the 11th-floor office of Show World, located at 8th Avenue and 42nd Street in Times Square. Viggiano was shot to death, and his body was subsequently dismembered. The perpetrators were Roy DeMeo, a member of the Gambino crime family, and his associate, Gus Kalevas. The motive for the murder was Viggiano's outstanding debt to Kalevas.
