Malik Campbell, a 23-year-old resident of Manhattan, New York, tragically lost his life on November 3, 2017. The incident occurred in the Jacob Riis Houses complex, located in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan. Campbell was shot in the head during an argument outside a building on Avenue D and East 8th Street around 4:15 p.m. Eyewitnesses reported hearing three shots and seeing Campbell lying on the ground, bleeding from the neck.
