On the cold winter evening of January 21, 1986, a dedicated New York City Police Detective named Anthony Venditti was brutally gunned down in the Ridgewood section of Queens. The 34-year-old male officer, a 14-year veteran of the force, was part of a joint NYPD and FBI Organized Crime Task Force.
